Celebrating Musical Performances of 2024

St. Pancras International, renowned not only for its historic architecture and highspeed train services but also for its remarkable musical experiences, hosted a series of captivating performances throughout 2024. 

Let's look back at some of the most touching and exciting moments that took place at the station.

Tony Mortimer

Christmas came early at London’s St. Pancras International station when Tony Mortimer played a surprise impromptu performance of the East 17 festive classic ‘Stay Another Day’, backed by the London Community Gospel Choir. Tony shocked Londoners as a huge crowd gathered to witness an unforgettable Christmas moment as Tony played on one of the station’s famous pianos which is located in its main arcade and recently donated by Andrew Lloyd Webber Musicals.

To celebrate the release of Universal Pictures’ new cinematic event, Wicked, St. Pancras International played host to the world-renowned actor and musician, Jeff Goldblum, who plays The Wonderful Wizard of Oz in the film, with an impromptu festive performance that surprised and delighted travellers and shoppers.

LUDOVICO EINAUDI

Legendary Italian pianist and composer, Ludovico Einaudi, amazed visitors with piano performance in between his two sold-out shows at the London Palladium. Known as ‘The King of Calm’, Einaudi brought a moment of tranquillity to one of London’s busiest stations with an intimate piano performance of songs from his new album, The Summer Portraits (out on 31st January 2025 on Decca).

NORAH JONES

Travelling with ease from the centre of Paris directly to the centre of London at St. Pancras International on the Eurostar, Jones delighted shoppers and travellers by showcasing her talent as she performed solo, accompanied only by the keys of the station’s infamous public piano. The legendary singer-songwriter and 9-time GRAMMY® award winner performed an exclusive piano rendition of her worldwide hits ‘Don’t Know Why’ and ‘Sunrise’, plus two songs from her new album, ‘Visions’, which was released on Friday 8th March 2024 via EMI/ BlueNote.

JAMES ARTHUR

Multi-platinum award winning artist, songwriter and musician James Arthur performed back in February 2024 with an exclusive piano rendition of his worldwide hits including ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ plus a new release from his latest album ‘Bitter Sweet Love’.
