TRAVEL, SHOP & DINE WITH PEACE OF MIND

St Pancras International is part of the Secure Station Scheme, which means the station meets prescribed safety standards set by the British Transport Police and the Department for Transport. These include CCTV coverage, safe zones, help points and enhanced lighting.

St Pancras International is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is monitored and patrolled constantly, both by CCTV coverage and by station staff and the police. The station only closes on Christmas day, however is still patrolled and monitored. The police patrols are often supported by specialist teams such as canine units, Project Servator and CID.

In all public areas, CCTV footage is recorded and monitored by control centre staff 24 hours a day. There are customer help points within the station building and on platforms for general use as well as in emergencies.

All the staff in the station, including staff members working for our retail outlets and train operating companies, are trained on emergency policies and procedures. We all work together to ensure St Pancras International is a safe place.

Report anything suspicious to one of our staff members, a police officer or text the British Transport Police on 61016. In an emergency dial 999 immediately. It is important to be vigilant in the station at all times and follow some common good customer security behaviours such as not leaving personal effects and belongings unattended and listening to announcements. In an emergency, leave by the nearest safe exit, which all have disabled access, and if you have any problems with mobility, talk to a member of staff for assistance.

Trains

All trains operating to and from St Pancras International, Southeastern Railway, East Midlands Railway, Thameslink and Eurostar, have on-board CCTV and are staffed. If you see anything suspicious, please talk to a member of staff or the BTP who also patrol our services.

Car Parks

St Pancras International parking is an official Park Mark® Safer Parking facility, meaning you are visiting a car park that has been vetted by the British Transport Police and has measures in place in order to create a safer environment for both you and your vehicle. Our car park is monitored by CCTV and by on-site staff members 24/7.

WE’RE SERIOUS ABOUT CLEANING

Our cleaning and safety measures have been Bureau Veritas certified - giving you extra peace of mind for when you visit.

In addition to our more regular cleaning regime, we continue with the following:

  • Zoono Sanitising: We continue to apply Zoono sanitiser to public areas and toilets.
  • Prism Technology: Our latest technology to ensure our toilets are of the highest standard of hygiene. We regularly test heavily touched points and adjust our cleaning regime to meet these cleaning requirements to improve efficiency. They also get a weekly disinfectant clean using the Foamex method.
  • Still doing the robot: Our cleaning robots, Misty & Apollo, are still hard at work throughout the station. Misty is still cleaning and disinfecting surfaces simultaneously with its automated scrubber dryer. Its function to auto-charge, drain and refill providing consistent cleaning 24/7. Apollo’s unique technology can kill 99.9999% of viruses and bacteria on all surfaces and in the air surrounding it in a matter of minutes.
