HS1, the owners of St. Pancras International will be donating £5000 to the school of the Betjeman Poetry Prize 2018 winner

Continuing a strong and sustaining partnership with the Betjeman Poetry Prize, HS1, the owners of St. Pancras International has agreed to donate £5000 as a new prize to the school (or local library of a home schooled child) of the winning young poet of the 2018 Betjeman Poetry Prize!

Previously, winning schools/libraries received £500. With current schooling budgets stretched to the max, we hope that the increased donation this year makes a positive impact on the winning poet's school or library.

Imogen Lycett Green, Director of the Betjeman Poetry Prize showed her particular appreciation to Wendy Spinks, Commercial Director of HS1, and Estelle Hirrien, Marketing Manager, "for their imagination and sense of adventure. They see St Pancras International becoming a valuable ‘poetry platform’ for poets, performers and the public. The Betjeman Poetry Prize is thrilled to play a part in that vision."

All entrants must be 10-13 years old and submit their poems here by Tuesday 31st July. Good luck!
