Commuters and visitors woke to a strange appearance in the station this morning. Three peacock feathers protruding from an island of sand in the centre of the Arcade grew overnight marking the first stage of what will eventually become this year’s eagerly anticipated Christmas tree creation.
With previous year’s designs including a giant LEGO tree and a 14-metre high extravaganza made of 2000 Disney toys, you can be sure 2016 will be another must-see Christmas tree.

This week sees the end to St Pancras International’s autumn partnership with the V&A museum’s Undressed: A brief history of underwear exhibition. It has been an exciting few month’s with a curator talk and a French knicker making workshop, offering the station’s visitors and commuters something a little bit different.
To bring the partnership to a close, the station hosted a special dance performance that reinterpreted Undressed: A Brief History of Underwear and a story of female liberation, through the relationship between sex, female empowerment and underwear. Choreographed by London College of Fashion UAL student, Araxie Boyadjian from BA Creative Direction for Fashion, the performance delighted commuters on Monday during their evening commute. The performance can be viewed in full here.
On Wednesday, the final highlight of the partnership took place - a Q+A with Rosalie Schweiker to discuss the history of the bra. Rosalie discussed how bra design has been shaped throughout history by cultural norms as well as giving an entertaining introduction to her project DD+, an unconventional bra showroom championing the idea of underwear made to fit women’s bodies, whatever their shape and size.
