Another World Record Set at St Pancras International

21.07.10

The world's talllest toy train track was unveiled at St Pancras International this morning, when Tomy UK built a Tomica train set soaring over 3 metres in height.

This is the fourth world record set at St Pancras International since the station re-opened in 2007, with the station setting records for a variety of things including the largest group of people hugging last year and the largest gathering of people wearing underpants in 2008.

The Tomy UK technical team worked through the night to ensure the model was ready for The Gadget Show's Jason Bradbury to place the final piece of the track this morning (Wednesday 21 July 2010).

Tomica is celebrating its 40th anniversary in its native Japan, and Tomy UK chose the occasion to display the range to the UK.
