The Betjeman Arms is named in honour of the esteemed poet who was instrumental in saving the station and we think he would enjoy a pint of ale, a bit to eat whilst watching the trinas depart to foreign shores from under the glorious Barlow Shed.
The Betjeman Arms specialises in fresh, seasonal English produce and traditional British dishes. Breakfast is a speciality, where a Full English, bacon sandwich or a fresh fruit salad awaits the hungry traveller often enjoyed in our sunny kitchen diner, accompanied by a juice, bloody mary or even a pint. Underneath the spectacular St Pancras canopy, our terrace serves an all day menu of Brit favourites such as beer battered fish & chips, homemade pies and bread & butter pudding.
At the bar, a wide choice of ales awaits! The specially brewed Betjeman ale, a range of fine European wines and continental lagers would make a fine acompaniment to a hearty meal, enjoyed bar side or at our elegant dining room. The Betjeman Arms host a Real Ale Festival every season as well as showcasing a wonderful range of ever changing guest ales.
The Betjeman Arms have become very well known for the lively entertainment they host. Monday Quiz nights, Tuesday piano sing-alongs, Wednesday is pie, mash and board games heaven, Thursday is cocktail night and Friday's are always humming along to the band. Over the weekend the atmosphere is more relaxed but packed with locals and travellers tucking into wholesome hearty English pub favourites and the Sunday lunch sets you up perfectly for the week ahead...tempted?
