The Hotel History

After years of devoted restoration, the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel was officially reopened on the 5th of May 2011 and is being hailed as London’s most romantic building. Due to the success of our recent refurbishment I am expanding my kitchen team to accommodate the current level of business. I have a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys a fast paced environment within an independent business and the job satisfaction that it delivers.


Hourly rates will be discussed with the individual candidate based on levels of expectation and experience. Our ability to make those decisions will be formed by interview and quality of work moving forward. In addition to the kitchen team are included in the tronc system that distributes service charge to the staff allowing further earnings based on hours worked 

You must have great personal standards of work and be consistent in delivery quality food within brand guidelines. There needs to be a general knowledge of kitchen practices - HACCP, COSHH etc and have the ability to work on individual tasks or as an important part of the brigade. Training is provided through e-learning as well as practical tasks available & is encouraged for any gaps in knowledge

The kitchen team is a small brigade so respect & professionalism is required at all times. Menu development is vital to the business so an active interest is encouraged.

Des Vins is in the heart of St Pancras Station with excellent transport links through bus, rail & underground. Shifts are flexible and currently look for an individual who can fulfil different times in the business as we are open for food 7am-9pm and so I can offer hours around the trading day. Typical week would be 45 hours within 5 days worked

Key responsibilities:
